Poem: Rage

Hot blooded anger,

I am ready to blow,

With each dumb word the more it flows,

Heart ready to pop,

heart rate keeps going up,

How could you be so low,

Beating on the one who is down on their knees begging for respite, but you keep pushing on regardless despite,

you are not the only one with problems that are killing you from the inside,

Unlike you others know how to keep it inside hide,

Why should I care,

Life isn’t fair,

We all have problems and need support,

No one wants a bad mouthed retort,

Sometimes you need to forget your own emotions and help another, but instead all you do is whine and bother,

You call yourself selfless and call me selfish,

Look back and add in the rage and try to remember clearly who was there in those times of hardships,

Not hiding safely on the shore, but a rock to hold onto and even more,

I am only human, a young girl playing pretend,

Yet you still complain about her while still on her you depend, but the shell is shattered,

The mask is barely there, yet you continuously prod and stare,

Yet you claim “unlike me” that you actually care,

Don’t sit there and complain about me when you are the problem,

Don’t you even dare.
