Poem: Memories

All these aches and pains,

They are always the same,

Just another spill among the coffee stains,

Unruly nest of curls to tame,

Difficult to swallow down,

Definitely will miss this town,

This isn’t where the story ends,

These pages turn and the spine it bends,

It’s difficult to understand,

What tomorrow brings is out of hand,

The pressure is on today,

Don’t know what to do or say,

Dust bunnies and spider webs,

Memories and things that were never said,

Thoughts long buried until it ebbs and fades away,

All those little things that led you to okay,

Until then we need to wait,

That’s something that we all hate,

Lighthouses will guide your way,

For now start with today.
